The counselling process for the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) 2015 began on June 12. The process is being conducted completely online this year.
The counselling procedure was announced open at the Government Institute of Chemical Engineering, Andhra Pradesh. However, due to heavy rains and lack of infrastructure at the institute, the web centre for counselling was shifted to Andhra University (Platinum Jubilee Guest House).
The qualifying candidates are required to carry the necessary documents along with them at the time of counselling. These are listed below:

  • Admit card/hall ticket
  • SSC admit card or its equivalent
  • Proof of date of birth
  • Certificate of reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, PH, NCC, Sports, etc.)
  • Proof of local residency status

The results were declared on May 21. The state HRD Minister, Ganta Srivastava released the results at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. JNTUK subsequently released the answer keys for the competitive exam.
Approximately 1.7 lakh students had appeared for the engineering stream and almost 70,000 attempted the medical stream. The candidates who clear the exam are required to select only one helpline centre in Andhra Pradesh for verification of documents and choosing their courses/colleges of preference.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK) conducted the competitive exam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The exam was held from 10 am to 5:30 pm on May 8.
After the separation of Andhra Pradesh, this is the first time that the APSCHE has allowed JNTUK* to conduct the AP EAMCET.
JNTUK segregated from the erstwhile Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 2008, and is now the second largest technological university in the country. The university has 273 colleges affiliated to it, which offer courses in engineering, medical, agriculture and management amongst others.
